What’s My Tagline/Healthcare Rap Crossover

Aug 3, 2021 | Posted by Carol | Our Shows |

A couple of months ago I was chatting with Jared Johnson, Founder of Shift.Health and the host of the Healthcare Rap, an award-winning podcast focused on challenging “the status quo of healthcare marketing and technology.”  Jared and I spend a lot of time talking with both clients and prospective clients, on the development, launch, and growth of a show. These conversations run the gamut – from host choice, production set-up, how to grow an audience, frequency, ROI, and the various nuances that lead to podcast success.

From that conversation, we decided to do a special “cross-over” episode for our respective shows, addressing 10 topics would be companies and podcast hosts need to consider before launching, followed by 10 topics for making an existing show more successful.

Below are the two episodes. Jared and I tackled strategies to think about before launch on his show, and how to improve the podcast show you have on mine.  There are, of course, some topics germane to both episodes.

Take a listen!

Get ready for a master class in podcasting. Carol Flagg from HealthcareNOW Radio is in the house to share some provocative thinking in the first of a two-part crossover episode. In part 1, Carol and Jared cover their top ten tips for starting a podcast. If you build a podcast, will they come? What are the three key ingredients of a successful podcast? How do you measure it? Tune in for answers to these and many more questions. All that, plus the Flava of the Week about inviting all the right players to the table. Hospitals and health systems own a smaller and smaller portion of a consumer’s healthcare journey, so why haven’t they been interested in establishing better consumer relationships?

Host Carol Flagg welcomes Jared Johnson, founder of SHIFT Health and host of the award-wining podcast, Healthcare Rap. Jared joins Carol for this second of a two-part cross over series where the two discuss ways to launch a successful podcast and how to improve the one you’ve got. On part 1 Carol joined Jared on his show to chat about how content marketers can boost their success in launching a podcast. On this episode, Jared and Carol take a look at how to improve the podcast you already have to attract more listeners and engagement.
