Wellness Wednesday – Healthy Meals with Nurse Lauren
Hi there, Nurse Lauren here with your Wellness Wednesday Tip! With more businesses and schools opening up, many virtually, a lot of us have a packed schedule from morning to night and that often makes eating well challenging. Today I’m sharing with you my infographic on what a day of healthy eating looks like! The recommended daily calorie intake is 2,500 for men and 2,000 for women. With that in mind, check out the choices below and start to think about what and when you eat throughout the day. Are you eating breakfast in the morning? Do you have snacks between your main meals? Are you keeping hydrated by drinking water throughout the day? These are all important aspects of keeping a healthy diet.
Using the number of calories reserved for your main meals and snacks – continue to find other healthy options. A favorite website of mine is skinnytaste (@skinnytaste) They have a great key on their homepage that allows you to search for recipes in categories such as: low carb, vegetarian, under 30 minutes, kid friendly, freezer friendly, gluten free, weight watcher smart points… and many more!
This is Nurse Lauren, contributor of NursesNOW, signing off with your Wellness Wednesday Tips! Remember, healthy eating, in addition to exercise, are the keys to living a healthy lifestyle. Follow all of these strategies (eat breakfast, healthy snacks throughout the day, and drink water) to keep your weight and body healthy!
