Wayfinding Mobile App Guides Patients, Visitors through Expanded Campus
Stamford Health (@StamfordHosp) announced that the Stamford Health Find My Way application has been downloaded nearly than 1,500 times. This mobile application not only helps patients and visitors navigate to the new Stamford Hospital, but also helps them quickly find and locate their final destination inside the hospital.
“Working with Connexient’s Medinav™ mobile platform, we created intuitive, GPS-driven indoor maps that provide turn-by-turn direction and location-based content within the hospital,” said John Rossi, Executive Director, Information Services & Security at Stamford Health. “The wayfinding application helps visitors and patients easily identify and navigate to internal points of interest including key departments, the cafeteria, gift shop, ATMs, elevators, restrooms and stairways.”
Downloadable from the iTunes and Google Play stores, Find My Way features Stamford Health’s physician directory to provide quick access to phone numbers and location information. There are also direct links to bill pay, patient portals and Stamford Health’s Facebook and Twitter feeds. Additionally, information and directions to the extensive artwork collection within the hospital is available through the mobile application.
