Alzheimer’s Disease International: World Alzheimer’s Month
World Alzheimer’s Month is the international campaign by Alzheimer’s Disease International every September to raise awareness and challenge the stigma that surrounds dementia. World Alzheimer’s Month was launched in 2012. World Alzheimer’s Day is on 21 September each year. ADI (@AlzDisInt) is the global voice on dementia. They raise awareness by supporting Alzheimer associations and individuals worldwide. The 2024 World Alzheimer’s Month campaign will center around the taglines ‘Time to act on dementia, Time to act on Alzheimer’s’.
ADI’s upcoming World Alzheimer’s Report has found that over 90% of people surveyed across 166 countries would feel encouraged to get a diagnosis if they knew a medicine or treatment that could prevent or slow the progression of dementia.
