National Health Center Week is an annual celebration with the goal of raising awareness about the mission and accomplishments of America’s health centers over the past five decades. According to the National Association of Community Health Centers, health centers serve 30 million patients, a number that continues to grow along with the demand for affordable primary care. Community Health Centers are vital to every community offering strength, expertise, and care during the most painful and trying times. This year National Health Center Week is August 4 – 10, 2024 with the theme of “Powering Communities Through Caring Connections” This week’s Friday Five highlights NHCW24 and focuses on what health centers have to offer.
Conversations on Health Care
Conversations on Health Care radio show about reform and innovation in the health care system. Each week, hosts Mark Masselli and Margaret Flinter interview a thought leader from the realm of health policy, health innovation, health technology and global health. FactCheck.org’s Managing Editor Lori Robertson exposes false claims about health policy in the public domain and we end with a Bright Idea that’s improving health and well being in every day lives.
