National Cyber Security Awareness Month (@staysafeonline) – observed every October – was created as a collaborative effort between government and industry to ensure every American has the resources they need to stay safer and more secure online. This week’s Friday Five offers resources, tips and the latest in all things cybersecurity.
4th Annual Cybersecurity Panel Discussion
According to a recent report published in the HIPAA Journal, healthcare hacking incidents accounted for 44% of all tracked data breaches in 2018, the most of any category of breach. Global privacy and security consulting company, Kuma (@KUMA_LLC) sponsored the event and the following thought leaders were panelists:
- Jenn Behrens, Partner and EVP of Privacy at Kuma
- Parham Eftekhari, Executive Director of the Institute for Critical Infrastructure Technology (ICIT)
- Dave Summitt, the CISO for Moffitt Cancer Center
