J2 Global Launches New Interoperability Platform, Consensus
On the heels of HHS finalizing rules in an effort to move the healthcare industry one step closer to total interoperability, J2 Global, Inc., the leader in digital cloud faxing, announced an unparalleled opportunity for providers to move from paper faxing to a comprehensive interoperability system. Called Consensus, the easy-to-use platform connects healthcare organizations through the entire continuum-of-care by offering one comprehensive connection with a simple, inbox-like dashboard to manage all incoming and outgoing patient documents including cloud faxes, Direct secure messaging, patient query and API integration into exchanges. Users do not need an EHR to provide this level of enhanced data fluidity and digital interoperability, however those with an EHR will find an easy workflow for integrating patient data. J2 Global and eFax Corporate release the Consensus Paper
Following the launch of Consensus, J2 Global’s new interoperability system, the organization has released the Consensus Paper. Regardless of increasing attempts to facilitate interoperability through regulations, the challenges lie elsewhere in creating seamless data exchange among a patient’s physician, hospital, labs, pharmacy and others along the continuum of care. The Consensus Paper discusses the operational challenges that a lack of interoperability likely creates for organizations, and with that, how Consensus can assist in the goal of true interoperability.
