The Friday Five – Get Ready for Our Annual 12 Days of Christmas Posts
This week’s Friday Five coincides with the start of our annual line up of 12 Days of Christmas Posts. During the next 12 days, Answers Media Company will take a look back at some of the biggest news, issues, and trends in the industry. Our regular contributors will also weigh in on the year that was, as well as offer predictions and advice for the new year. Finally, we’ll shine a light on our HealthcareNOW Radio programming. Our line-up of shows attracted some of the biggest names and thought leaders in healthcare and we’ll be highlighting the hosts who bring us incredible conversations each week.
Big Year for HealthcareNow Radio
The growth of the HealthcareNow Radio station this year has been tremendous. Whether you’re talking about streaming, satellite or terrestrial, to our knowledge, we are the only radio station devoted to healthcare IT, delivery and policy. The boom in streaming radio and podcasting due to smartphones, smart speakers and plug-and-play in cars, has had a huge impact. At the end of the day though, it is our hosts, and the tremendous work they do, that has made the biggest impact. In 2018, we grew the station to 16 shows. The result of this growth is that our live streaming station will hit 300,000 listeners this year, and the archives of the on-demand episodes of our shows now average 7,000 plays per month. Our prediction for 2019 is that we will hit a half million listeners. So a big thank you to our hosts and to our listeners. There is much more in store for 2019!

We would be remiss if we didn’t publicly thank and highlight some of our guest contributors who keep us up to date on the latest happenings in the healthcare industry. Our loyal contributors offer opinions, insights and help us analyze what’s happening in healthcare and health IT today. This year we will dedicate some of our 12 Days posts to our contributors but in the meantime you can read about some of our contributors from Christmas’ past.
