Prospecting, Selling and Closing in the Digital Era – Three Part Series
Those of you familiar with my show, What’s My Tagline? know the premise of the show is to have experts from the healthcare marketing, sales, social media, and PR community share their stories and insights. I’ve been hosting the show for a little over a year now and in that time I’ve had a chance to talk to a lot of very smart and savvy guests.
Two such guests are James Muir and Jane Bogue, who joined me on three episodes to discuss prospecting and closing sales in the digital era. As a career sales person and manager myself, much of what James and Jane have to share resonates with me. And the camaraderie between us is obvious – just three non-salesy types who fell into a career of selling.
James Muir started his career in the billing/RCM space and has gone on to become a prominent national speaker and author, having penned The Perfect Close, one of the best books I’ve read on selling techniques.
Jane Bogue is a fellow New Englander with an incredibly interesting background. Jane in Maine has worked in radio, the trade show industry, print, digital and even on a fishing boat (lobsters of course) and is now the Chief Growth Officer for Xtelligent Media.
I hope you’ll check out our 3 episodes together as we chat about the challenges AND opportunities of prospecting, selling and closing in our digital world.

Part 1 – The three discuss prospecting in the technology era – do smart phones, email, social media, and automated voice mail make prospecting more challenging or offer more opportunity?
Part 2 – Carol continues her conversation as the three dig a little deeper into closing techniques in the digital era.
Part 3 – On this final episode, Carol finishes her conversation discussing the techniques and science behind the Perfect Close.
