According to the DEA, too often, unused prescription drugs find their way into the wrong hands. National Prescription Drug Take Back Day (@deahq) addresses this crucial public safety and public health issue. This coming Saturday, October 29th, is the next Take Back Day so you have a few days to go through those cabinets and schedule a time to drop off your unused meds at your local police station.

The 2020 National Survey on Drug Use and Health reports that millions of Americans aged 12 or older misused a prescription medication during the course of the year. The survey also showed that a majority of misused prescription drugs were obtained from family and friends, often from the home medicine cabinet.
