March is when The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics celebrates their annual education and information campaign National Nutrition Month. The purpose of this campaign is to highlight the importance of physical activity and healthy eating while making informed decisions when choosing foods.
Bite into a Healthy Lifestyle
This year’s theme is “Bite into a Healthy Lifestyle,” which encourages people to focus on three key areas for a healthy lifestyle.
- adopt an eating plan where one will consume less calories and make good food choices
- adopt an exercise plan one will adhere to daily to help achieve a healthy weight
.
Following these steps with fidelity will help to reduce the risk of chronic disease while promoting an overall healthy lifestyle.
