National Nurse Practitioner Week
Follow and join the conversation with #NPWeek and #NPWeek2024.
Next week begins Nurse Practitioners (NP) Week, a time to honor and recognize the dedication, expertise, and compassionate care that nurse practitioners bring to our healthcare system. These highly skilled professionals play a vital role in bridging gaps in healthcare, offering a blend of clinical excellence and patient-centered care. As primary and specialty healthcare providers, NPs work across a variety of settings, addressing the needs of individuals and communities alike. Join us in honoring the vital work they do to keep individuals and families healthy across the country.

NP Week Proclamation
AANP State Liaisons and NP Organization members are working diligently to secure NP Week proclamations signed by elected officials recognizing the outstanding care NPs provide to patients in each state. Proclamations signed by governors and other elected officials will be showcased in green on AANP’s annual NP Week Proclamation Map — or even better — filled with pictures of NPs who were present for the signing or an image of the proclamation itself. Congratulations to NPs in West Virginia for submitting the first NP Week proclamation of 2024, signed by Governor Jim Justice!
Congratulations to NPs in New Mexico, Maryland, Massachusetts, Montana, South Dakota, Texas and Virginia for submitting a signed NP Week proclamation! Learn more about #NPWeek and download a sample proclamation here: https://t.co/UZHPs3ZSSy. #NPsLead pic.twitter.com/6rU34ctmCW
