Memorial Day 2018 – Spotlighting Borne the Battle
We are observing Memorial Day here in the states today. Throughout the long weekend there will be parades, services, celebrations and all sorts of events to remember those who died in service to our nation. We all know too well that it is not always easy to be a surviving vet and receive the help and services needed to thrive in our society. In honor of Memorial Day and our living vets, we wanted to share a podcast series produced by VAntage Point.
Borne the Battle – Podcasts By Department of Veterans Affairs, hosted by Timothy Lawson
Timothy Lawson has been a member of VA’s Digital Media Engagement team since April 2016. He graduated from American University’s School of Communications in 2016 with a degree in Broadcast Journalism. Tim is a Marine Corps Veteran having served as a Marine Security Guard posted at embassies in Algeria, Russia, and Peru.
On this episode you will hear, Dr. Jennifer MacDonald is new member of the Veterans Health Administration’s Office of Connected Care team and is leading the charge for greater adoption of many VA-developed, clinical-facing mobile applications. She is a practicing Family Medicine physician and U.S. Army Veteran experienced in leading complex system transformation and dedicated to patient, family, and provider empowerment through the strategic delivery of technology-enabled, high quality, equitable care.
