#HealthITchicks Meetup – Women Making Waves in Mental Health Tech
February 21, 2017 — 11:00AM EST – 11:45AM EST
Lobby C | HIMSS Spot
Don’t miss this year’s #HealthITChicks Meetup at HIMSS17. Jennifer Dennard (@JennDennard), #HealthITchicks founder, will moderate the discussion about the role women play in the evolving world of mental health technology. As increasing focus is placed on the integration of mental health and primary care, you’ll hear from women developing, prescribing, using, and offering mental health technologies. Speakers include: Zereana Jess-Huff, Christine Moberg, Geeta Nayyar, MD, and Cindy Throop.
This year’s #HealthITchicks Meetup is sponsored by Pivot Point Consulting (@pivotpc), a Vaco Company, who recently acquired Greythorn (@GreythornNA). If you’ve been to HIMSS the last few years, you know the booth everyone whispers about between keynotes and educational sessions. The spot where employees of exhibiting companies sneak off to when their own booth shift ends. It’s the booth that goes especially well with a beer or glass of wine during the exhibition hall happy hour. It’s the booth with all those foot massage machines!

For two years, Greythorn has been saving feet at HIMSS with their Shiatsu foot massagers. And although they’re doing it at booth #723 this year under a new name—Pivot Point Consulting, a Vaco Company—it promises to be even better than in years past. It isn’t because there are more machines in their booth (although there are); it’s because this year, they’re working with conference attendees to raise money for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
Booth visitors are encouraged to take a selfie inside the Pivot Point Consulting booth, share it to social media using the hashtag #GoesBeyond, and tag a colleague. The company will donate $1 to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society (@mssociety) for every selfie posted.
“Giving back, going above and beyond—these have always been core parts of our company’s DNA,” explained Pivot Point’s Managing Partner, Ben Weber. “We’re excited to raise money at HIMSS for an organization that’s making a positive impact for those living with MS, while also giving attendees a chance to highlight colleagues who go beyond the call of duty.”
Greythorn coordinates with Answers Media Network weekly to get the word out about exciting opportunities in the world of health IT. Check out Talent Tuesdays each week where we highlight job opportunities and tips from the healthcare IT recruitment specialists at Greythorn.
