Support Girls Who Code
Tech jobs are among the fastest growing in the country, yet girls are being left behind. While interest in computer science ebbs over time, the biggest drop off happens between the ages of 13-17. Girls Who Code (@GirlsWhoCode) is a national non-profit organization dedicated to closing the gender gap in technology. The organization offers free after school clubs and summer immersion programs to girls in 6th – 12th grade and enables them to use computer science to impact their community and join a sisterhood of supportive peers and role models. GWC currently has 10,000+ alumnae and is building the country’s largest pipeline of future female engineers.
This holiday season, join the #HealthITChicks and others to help #CracktheCode for thousands of girls across the U.S. by supporting the Girls Who Code end of the year campaign. The campaign goal is $100,000 and you can either make a donation or set your own goal and sign up to be a fundraiser individually or with others as a team. Tweet this
