The Friday Five – Tips for #HIMSS17

The 2017 HIMSS Annual Conference & Exhibition, which takes place February 19–23, 2017 in Orlando, is just around the corner. Over the years the conference has grown exponentially and this year HIMSS is expecting 45,000 conference attendees and 1,200 exhibitors. More than 300 education programs feature keynotes, thought leader sessions, round-table discussions and workshops, plus a full day of preconference symposia. This week’s Friday Five offers some not to be missed events and exhibits at HIMSS17. Our tips will help first timers as well as veterans make the most of the conference.

Since there is so much to do and see at HIMSS it only seems natural that one would feel compelled to do some planning prior to the big week. Last-minute Tips for HIMSS 2017 Exhibitors and Attendees

HIMSS17 Mix Tape
Colin Hung, co-founder of Healthcare Leadership (@hcldr), loves attending HIMSS each year where he gets to be a part of the largest health IT gathering of its kind. He enjoys attending sessions, listening to keynotes, and touring the exhibit floor. But, he says for him the best part is meeting other health IT enthusiasts face to face, catching up with old friends and meeting new ones. To get himself and others ready for all that is HIMSS, Colin has taken to compiling a healthcare mix tape that reflects on the past year in healthcare and also looks into the future. Colin reaches out to friends and colleagues to share and explain the song they believe best represents healthcare.
