Friday Five – National Minority Health Month
Follow and join the conversation with #MinorityHealthMonth, #boostyourcommunity and #NMHM2022.
During the month of April the HHS Office of Minority Health (@MinorityHealth) leads the observance of National Minority Health Month. The theme for this year’s National Minority Health Month is Be the Source for Better Health: Improving Health Outcomes Through Our Cultures, Communities, and Connections, is about understanding how the unique environments, cultures, histories, and circumstances (known as social determinants of health, or SDOH) of racial and ethnic minority and AI/AN populations impact their overall health. Our Friday Five checks out this year’s theme, and looks at policies, papers and organizations addressing health equity.
