Pride Month is an annual celebration of the many contributions made by the LGBTQ+ community to history, society and cultures worldwide. In the United States, Pride is celebrated throughout the month of June each year in commemoration of its roots in the Stonewall Riots of June 1969. This week’s Friday Five honors Pride Month and takes a look at some of the issues and innovation around LGBTQ+ healthcare.

After Years in Practice, Why this Internist Came Out to Patients
Little Rock, Arkansas, general internist Riley Wagner Lipschitz, MD, wanted to share her joy about her pregnancy with her patients. To do so fully, she realized, she had to share more of herself. LGBTQ+ Veteran care
The Department of Veterans Affairs (@DeptVetAffairs) welcomes all Veterans, families, caregivers, and survivor beneficiaries, including diverse gender identities and sexual orientations.
