Overview
- The summit will address various critical aspects of cybersecurity from a government policies (current and future) and compliance angle
- Opening Keynote by Dr. Christian Dameff – 15-minute overview on State of Cybersecurity in Healthcare
- Followed by five (5) sessions
- Panel sessions moderated by Frank Cutitta
- Building on 2023’s summit, the themes for this year include: Privacy, Security, AI, Governance and the Consumer with panel sessions comprised of subject mater experts and industry luminaries.
Keynote
Dr. Christian Dameff, M.D., M.S., FACEP – Medical Director of Cybersecurity – University of California San Diego
Dr. Christian Dameff M.D., M.S., FACEP is an assistant professor of Emergency Medicine, Biomedical Informatics, and Computer Science at the University of California San Diego. He also co-directs the newly launched UCSD Center for Healthcare Cybersecurity. He is a practicing board certified Emergency Medicine physician and Clinical Informatician. At UC San Diego Health he was hired as the nation’s first Medical Director of Cybersecurity where he serves in a cybersecurity operational role defending the health enterprise from cyber threats. He is an internationally known expert and is among the top published researchers in the field of healthcare cybersecurity. He has testified before the US Congress and US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on healthcare cybersecurity risks, including ransomware.

Frank Cutitta, Senior Strategist – CHIME’s Digital Health Insights and Producer of Health Stealth Radio
He has over 40 years of experience in the global media, information technology, and healthcare industries. Over the years he launched some of the most iconic IT media brands in 90 countries including Computerworld, PC World, Network World, CSO and CIO. His international career then led him to work in the intelligence sector during his time in the former USSR and Cuba.
He is also been the founder and CEO of Weapons of Mass Discussion LLC, a consultancy specializing in conversational media around the world.
In addition to being a graduate professor of healthcare informatics and global communications, he serves on the board of JBJS, the world’s leading orthopedic journal, and as Co-Chair of the Spaulding Rehabilitation Network’s Patient Family Advisory Council. He previously served on the Global Board for HIMSS for 6 years.
Cutitta most recently launched the Hospital at Home Leadership Summit the premier senior level conference on that movement in the United States.
He was recognized by FOLIO as one of the Top 40 Influencers and Innovators in the Media/Publishing industry. In addition to writing hundreds of articles on global communications, IT, and healthcare, his book on the Digital Transformation of Healthcare will be released in 2024.
In his free time he is an obsessive cook/foodie, and teaches snowboarding to mature beginners in his Grays on Trays® program.
