12th Annual 2022 State HIT Connect Summit

April 18-20, 2022  Hilton Baltimore Inner Harbor, MD

The 2022 meeting will be the 12th annual State Healthcare IT Connect Summit. The conference has grown and evolved into an important national venue for public and private sector thought leaders to share ideas and benchmark implementation strategies of State Health IT Systems. We anticipate 1000+ attendees & 45+ state teams at the 2022 program.

2022 will hopefully see the tail end of the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, as immunization programs mature and effective treatment modes are introduced, a greater sense of normalcy will resume. For states, lessons learned from the pandemic will be multifaceted, and the implications for HHS programs and IT organizations will be long-lasting, and in many cases transformational.

State operations, technology leaders have learned to operate with mostly remote teams, many of whom will continue to work remotely or in a hybrid model, inter-agency collaboration and data sharing initiatives have been accelerated to ensure citizens have been able to access the services, resources they need.

At the same time, CMS and ONC Interoperability rules have laid the foundation, for a more citizen-centric data ecosystem, and federal rule-making is providing the guardrails for states to embrace a more modular, outcomes-based modernization strategy.

The vendor IT ecosystem is also evolving to meet with the strategic imperatives of enterprise agility, modularity, interoperability, as well as to engage in industry initiatives that leverage commonalities amongst agencies and between states, to procure systems in a more time and cost-efficient manner.

The pace of change and innovation is set to continue, state program and technology leadership teams will also have to embrace innovation and change in order to maintain services, and improve outcomes for the citizens they serve, and of course, all of this comes during a period of a significant budget shortfall for many state agencies.

Only members of the State HIT Connect Community may register for the 2022 in-person meeting. When you apply, your annual membership covers fees associated with the Summit, as well as all other event registration from 10/1/2021 to 9/30/2022.
