The fifth annual AARP Health Innovation@50+ LivePitch, a one day pitch competition for emerging startups in the healthy living space with a focus on caregiving, was held on April 27th at Plug and Play Tech Center in Sunnyvale, CA. The first annual International Health & Wellness Week is right around the corner, May 2 – 8. The purpose of IHAWW is to make a positive impact on health and wellness overall, as well as to unite people through the common goal of preventing obesity and disease, to promote a better quality of life, and to celebrate life together.
The second Monday in May is National #WomensCheckUpDay. This year the day falls on May 9th and marks the 14th annual Women’s Check-Up Day. Each year the goal is to encourage women to schedule their annual well visit.

Each year Action for Healthy Kids’ leads the observance of Every Kid Healthy Week and joins with schools, students, teachers, parents, volunteers and corporate sponsors across the country to celebrate school health and wellness achievements.
