Health 2.0 European Conference
The HIMSS and Health 2.0 European Conference was June 11-13 in Helsinki, Finland. 2019 winners of the MAP Award for High Performance in Revenue Cycle
HFMA’s MAP Award for High Performance in Revenue Cycle recognizes providers that have excelled in meeting industry standard revenue cycle benchmarks, implemented the patient-centered recommendations and best practices embodied in HFMA’s Healthcare Dollars & Sense® initiatives and achieved outstanding patient satisfaction. HBMA
The Healthcare Business Management Association (HBMA), a non-profit professional trade association, is a major voice in the revenue cycle management industry in the United States. HBMA members collectively submit a significant percentage of all initial medical claims to the country’s governmental and commercial payers. HBMA Adopts Policy Framework for Unexpected Out-Of-Network Medical Bills
HBMA announced a new policy framework for federal and state legislative proposals to address unexpected out-of-network (OON) medical billing scenarios. The “HBMA Framework for Out-of-Network Billing Legislation” (Policy Framework) affirms HBMA’s commitment to protecting patients from unexpected medical bills and points out the role health insurance plans must play to address this important issue.

ATA Receives PCORI Award for Telehealth Research Dissemination Forum
The ATA has been awarded $50k in funding through the Eugene Washington Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) Engagement Awards Program. These funds support the ATA’s Telehealth Research Dissemination Forum.
